The position holder shall be responsible to adhere & work within the ambit of BANDHU India’s Child Protection & Gender Equality Policies.

BANDHU India seeks to recruit a highly motivated, results-driven manager for the Individual Fundraising portfolio. The ideal candidate would be experienced in setting up the internal teams and adapting and responding quickly to new and emerging direct marketing opportunities and has significant experience in direct marketing to help raise financial contributions for Bandhu India.
Job Purpose:
Under the overall direction and direct supervision of Head - Individual Fundraising, the incumbent will be responsible for retaining BANDHU India’s existing donors, both one time and regular donors, towards contributing resources in support of BANDHU India’s objectives and activities. This will include implementation of retention growth strategy, managing in-house tele-calling and donor service teams, managing the budget and ensuring ROI while working closely with key stakeholders to realise the strategy
Key Responsibilities:
Support Strategic Development:
Develop a complete understanding of BANDHU India’s overall fundraising and communication strategies.
Advice upon and support development of donor retention strategy with the objective of increasing the community of supporters through both income generation as well as building alignment for BANDHU India’s purpose with the existing donor community.
Support development of annual BANDHU, analysis of external developments and trends in the fields of donor retention.
Retention:-
Implement retention strategy that is donor first in approach and looks at strategic segmentation of the existing donor community. Manage budgets &ROI and achieve set objectives. Managing the in-house teams for tele fundraising and manage outsourced retention operations Oversee work of in-house/outsourced retention teams, fundraising scripts, training, ensuring consistent messaging and representation of BANDHU India’s mission, values and objectives. Review performance on a regular basis and provide insights and inputs based on performance and external benchmarks. Design and develop the brief for the different elements of the communication strategy to improve retention of donors. Directly responsible for retention of a cohort of key BANDHU India donors. Ensure Individual Donor Servicing process and communication cycle are in line with the BANDHUs. Ensure data quality at collection point is maintained as per BANDHU India’s data quality standards. Disseminate information to key stakeholders in the team. Ensure compliance to all internal and external
Donor Servicing:
With the aim of increasing income from retained donors, implement retention activities including: - BANDHU and implement direct mail and e-direct mail campaigns on monthly basis to retain existing donors. - Directly supervise the in-house donor service team to retain existing donors. Organize donor cultivation events with support from the event team with an objective to retain existing donors. Analyse data, locate trends, and evolve BANDHUs to improve donor servicing, donor retention operations and resource generation. Ensure timely, accurate, and effective donor servicing (mailers, annual reports, receipts, forms, information requests, activity status updates, tax certificates, queries, field visit requests, invitation for events, etc.) towards relationship building and retention. Ensure timely, accurate and quality MIS for the function. Ensure that all communications are consistent with the BANDHU India profile and brand and that BANDHU India’s name and logo rights are protected at all times. Undertaking any other reasonable task that the Sr. Manager- Fundraising sees fit for the smooth running of the team.
Monitoring & Evaluation:
Maximize resource generation from Donor Retention: achieve and exceed the financial/nonfinancial targets for donor retention income through activities such as -Maintaining and updating reports for retention channel. -Presentations and discussions with key people within the organizations. Use the available CRM system to make enquiries, update records and produce required reports. Ensure that all fundraising activities comply with applicable (Indian) law at all times, including compliance with data protection legislation. Ensure that all communications are consistent with the BANDHU India profile and brand and that BANDHU India’s name and logo rights are protected at all times.
Skills Required
1) Sales abilities with proven target achievement record.
2) Understanding of digital medium is and knowledge of leveraging it towards the said objectives is an asset.
3) Experience in retention & donor servicing or in similar profile in corporate sector and at least 3-5 years of managing a telemarketing team.
4) Experience in NGO fundraising retention will be an added advantage.
5) Excellent communication and presentation skills.
6) Highly performance oriented and ability to work with and lead a team.
7) A keen interest in emerging technologies and the ability to spot their potential for advancing tele fundraising programmes.
8) Strong computer literacy, including ability to use word-processing, spreadsheet.
Knowledge of child rights-based approach and the significance of digital media to advance child rights agenda will be an added advantage.
Experience
Minimum 5 years of relevant and progressively responsible work experience.Significant experience in managing similar job responsibilities.
Education
Advanced University degree in business administration, management, or a related field.

We are looking highly motivated, results-driven Assistant Manager-Fundraising at our DELHI office as part of our Resource Mobilisation team. You would be responsible to lead, supervise and manage fundraising operations and involves him/her in managing Face to Face fundraising for the acquisition of Regular/Monthly Giving (Direct Debit) and One-off donors.
Key Responsibilities:
Overall management of Regular/Monthly Giving and One-Off Acquisition Program and overlook the performance of In-house fundraising teams to make sure that both programs strategy is in line with each other with results. Constantly improve the ‘quality’ of the regular/monthly giving program at all levels. Monitor the effectiveness of existing acquisition channels systematically to allow for timely intervention by revising them or replacing them with new tools and mechanisms, after careful monitoring, evaluation and testing with set smart objectives and KPIs. To ensure that set objectives for one-off and regular/monthly giving are met by Face to Face Fundraising. Analysis of daily/weekly/monthly results, monitoring of KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and fine-tuning interventions to F2F operations with a view to improving the quality of one-off and regular/monthly giving program.
In consultation with Manager- Acquisition, setting daily and monthly targets for fundraising teams. Coordination of donor acquisition process for one-off and regular/monthly giving between the field and the office in order to ensure successful submission of forms. Work closely with Manager-Acquisition on constant analysis and improvement of the donor communications cycle for regular/monthly giving donors.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Preferably MBA in marketing with 2-3 years of experience, however for candidates with exceptional marketing skills and track record, it would not be a hindrance. 2 to 3 years of fundraising experience in coordination/managerial level experience in committed giving/direct debit programs.
80% field work and 20% office.
Minimum of three years of relevant and progressively responsible work experience.

Responsibilities :
Responsible for designing and implementing the communication strategy across all interventions
- Coordinate with the policy and research teams to design outreach material which conveys results accurately to relevant stakeholders;
- Develop reports, case studies, success stories, field stories, videos, photos and other media content which can be put out on the public forum to spread awareness of work;
- Maintain social media image by regularly updating Twitter, Facebook and blog accounts with meaningful content, and engaging with relevant stakeholders on these platforms;
- Explore additional relevant social media presence
- Keep tabs on work of the research team to understand frequency of updates to be posted on social media to communicate work to the public;
- Work closely with Knowledge Manager on maintaining the resource hub
- Maintain and update the website regularly to ensure that work is posted regularly for public view;
- Design or coordinate communication material as per branding guidelines;
- Explore existing platforms, or create platforms, to communicate findings from the program through events (conferences/seminars/workshops, roundtables) best suited to the stakeholders participating;
- Organise and lead outreach events including logistical aspects, drafting topics for sessions, inviting speakers, the audience, and other related activities;
- Be responsible for addressing any media queries; and liaising with any media during events.
Qualifications and Experience :
- At least 4-5 years of relevant work experience in communications arena is preferred;
- A Master's degree in Public Policy, Gender, Economics, Development, Mass Communications or a related field;
- At least a basic understanding of the policy landscape of the country, and gender equality women's economic empowerment issues;
- Experience of developing communication outputs based on research data and evidence;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, able to express complex technical issues in plain language; as well as translate jargon into plain language;
- Experience working on outputs such as case studies, newsletters, reports, flyers, and other communication outputs;
- Experience on editing, and a basic knowledge of layouts and copyediting.
